IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!
We decided to try something different by setting up two Wii games. Everyone had to first set up their own personal moniker to be used whenever playing. This did take a bit of time as we wanted our character to be just right. Well, maybe it is only fair to say that as Mike pointed out, the girls sure are picky and take forever creating their image! Some things just seem to be a part of life. Once created, we had a lively bowling game going on one set. Bowling lively? Yes, as we figured out how to work the game control we were all getting some good hand finger dexterity going which was often pretty comical. We persevered and got rolling while everyone cheered & helped instruct. Marcia had never played before and just knew she wouldn’t be good but she rolled a strike on her first throw. There’s tough competition here and the game stores results so as people play the scores will be included for tournaments and future games.
The other set had other activities like boxing which required two hands. It was funny to see someone like Jennifer duking it out with her boyfriend. There was a knockout of one of them. These games are great because they can be done sitting or standing and either way, the motions require mind/body interraction and the movements really do give a bit of a workout! It is stimulating and we will do this again and hope to get some good teams going.
We had a special guest…....little 2 month old Ella came with Thomas & Sara Jane. She was adorable and touched everyone’s heart in a way that only babies can do.
Our next meeting will be November 7th. Pat Urie has researched and will present us with information about Angel Flights. This amazing group provides transportation for people needing to see a doctor out of town. The details are very interesting and this service can be utilized by any of us. Don’t miss this valuable presentation.
We will have some business to discuss about our board as well as an upcoming Christmas party. See you there!
Be Well
